Doing Things on Purpose With Purpose

Doing Things on Purpose With Purpose

The Oxygen Challenge 5
We all have the same 24 hours each day — and for most of us, it’s never enough. There’s a never-ending list of things that you must accomplish on any given day, and then another list of things that need to get done at some point. Some days, you may even add more to your list than you check off. It’s a battle we’re all familiar with: time. And that’s why everything we do should be done on purpose, with purpose. What does that mean?Think on purpose. Train on purpose. Eat on purpose. Play on purpose. Recover on purpose. Live on purpose. Talk on purpose. Encourage others on purpose. Sleep on purpose. They do the same five moves in their back/biceps workout on Tuesdays, the same five chest/triceps moves during their workout on Thursdays, and the same five leg exercises every Saturday, and so on.Thanks for watching!Visit WebsiteAnother example is my father. Growing up, my dad would always run and never…

Think Outside the Box – Oxygen Magazine

The Oxygen Challenge 5
Over the last year, you’ve been building your squats, deadlifts and snatches and are now strong AF with all things barbell. Your PRs have never been better, and you’re killing it in your daily WODs. Then the Opens roll around and Dave Castro, in typical malevolent form, chooses dumbbells as a primary resistance modality for several of the Open workouts, and suddenly it’s as if you’ve never touched a weight and your scores are lame AF.  Whether you’ve got a shot at the CrossFit Games or are simply trying to better your ranking within your box or age group, it might behoove you to sideline the barbell for a few months in favor of alternative programming to gear up for round two of the Opens in October and have a…
